Uncle Bonsai (with Patrice O'Neill replacing the retired Ashley O'Keeffe in the O'Sopran role) is playing their usual October show at the KPC, Nov. 21. Any of the usual suspects up for group seating before I lock down a solo ticket?

The Croc still looks like a mess, but there's clearly work going on inside - and now, they've started booking events. Guess they better be ready for opening by the 21st or else...

It's been a busy week, between the first seven days of SIFF and (for Memorial Day weekend) Folklife. I've been doing OK with posting capsule reviews on Facebook's Flixster, but LJ's fallen by the wayside. I considered trying to save it, at least for partial credit. I had given serious thought to heading out to the San Juans for a long weekend at the end of March, which would give me "Back to the mainland!" on the return, but got snowed out.
